Discover how animals defend themselves against predators at Nature’s Ninjas, a new traveling exhibit at the Swaner EcoCenter. From porcupines to geckos, explore some of nature’s wildest defensive adaptations! Enjoy live animal shows during the exhibit and get up close and personal with some of nature’s most misunderstood animals.

Lunch with Latinx Leaders: Professor of Psychology speaks on mentoring

The Latinx Cultural Center (LCC) has been hosting a series of bring-your-own-lunch events that are designed to let the USU community get to know their Latinx faculty, administrators, and staff in a substantive way. The speaker for this event is Dr. Melanie Domenech Rodriguez, a professor in the psychology department. She will share the importance of mentoring in her professional development and success, and how she pays it forward.This event is open to one and all, drinks and light snacks will be provided.

Olsen Chemistry Lecture: Heather C. Allen

Utah State University’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry welcomes renowned chemist Heather C. Allen to campus Wednesday, April 3, as guest speaker for the 2019 Richard Olsen Lecture Series.

Allen, professor of chemistry and biochemistry at The Ohio State University, presents “Electric Fields, Ion Pairing and the Salty Aqueous Surfaces.” She speaks at 4 p.m. in Room 046 of the Eccles Science Learning Center. Her talk is free and open to all.

Ethics Slam event on the topic: The Ethics of Shaming

Jazz Combos

Arts/Entertainment

Concert featuring USU student jazz combos, directed by Professors Corey Christiansen, Max Matzen, Braun Khan, and graduate assistant Parker Speirs. The combos will be performing sets comprised of well-known jazz standards and original compositions and arrangements. Jazz combos allow students to develop the skills of improvisation and musical interaction within a small group format.
