All wildflower enthusiasts are invited to participate in the annual Richard J. Shaw Memorial Wildflower Walk Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in the hills of North Logan’s Green Canyon. Utah State University’s Intermountain Herbarium hosts the activity, which begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free of charge. Intermountain Herbarium botanist Michael Piep will lead the walk and discuss flowers and plants along the trip. Participants should gather at the parking area of the Green Canyon trailhead. To access the site, follow 1900 North (also known as Green Canyon Drive) east through North Logan. Take the left fork and proceed to the parking area with portable restroom facilities. Conducted at a leisurely pace, the walk will last about 90 minutes. Participants should bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes. (The trail is not recommended for child strollers.)
