As part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Alumni Lunch Series, Amanda Butterfield (BS Journalism, 2000), Director of PR at Woodbury Corporations; Paige Frame (BS English, 2007), President at McKinnon Mulherin Inc.; and Allie Jurkatis (BS Journalism, 2014), Freelance Tech Writer will speak about their experiences "Communicating for a living."

Poet William Trowbridge Reading

On Thursday, October 25, the poet William Trowbridge will be reading from his latest poetry collection at 1:30 pm in Library 101. Trowbridge is the author of six collections of poetry and is the former poet laureate of the state of Missouri. This event is held in partnership with Utah Humanities Book Festival. All are invited and light refreshments served.

Award-winning radio journalist Krista Tippett presentation hosted by Tanner Talks series

Krista Tippett, creator and host of the public radio program and podcast, "On Being," a Peabody Award-winning program (as heard at Utah Public Radio, upr.org), presents a Tanner Talk. Her book, "Einstein's God: (2010), was a New York Times bestseller. She will speak on "Finding Meaning in the Contemporary World."

'We Remember Them:' Roadshow featuring stories/artifacts in honor of WWI vets

'We Remember Them' Roadshow, in the fashion of the PBS 'Antiques Roadshow, invites community members to bring and share any remembrances of WWI. So, check your attics, or that old wooden box great-grandpa left. Or you could share a family story. Everyone welcome, no charge. (Unfortunately, there won't be any appraisers on site, just enthusiasts!)
