Intramural Cornhole Tournament

Join us for our lively and competitive Intramural Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, March 23rd from 10 am to noon! Whether you're a seasoned cornhole pro or a beginner looking to try your hand at this classic backyard game, this event is open to all skill levels. Bring your A-game and compete for the title of cornhole champion as you toss those bean bags with precision and aim for the coveted prize, the Intramural Champ shirt! Women's Adventure Tour Film Screening

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd at 7pm for a screening of The Women’s Adventure Film Tour as it's back with its highly anticipated 8th season. It'll be held in HPER 102 - note please enter through the side doors in between the HPER and ARC as main doors will be locked. The event is free for USU students and just $10 for community members (pay at the door). We will also be having great raffle prizes!! It features an exhilarating selection of 8 new short films that showcase the inspiring journeys of remarkable women who have fearlessly pursued adventure in various fields. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour has been celebrated for its unique approach to showcasing women achieving their adventurous goals. Unlike traditional adventure films focusing solely on extreme feats, this tour aims to inspire everyone to step outside their comfort zone and challenge their boundaries – their personal Everest. It's a celebration of bravery, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit within us.
Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Come spend an evening snowshoeing under the glow of a full moon. Be sure to dress warm for the cooler temperatures after dark. No snowshoeing experience is necessary, beginners are most welcome. Participants must be prepared for moderate physical activity in a winter environment. Trip cost includes snowshoe rental and transportation.
I Love Myself Spin Class

Group Fitness is about loving yourself and having fun. Come celebrate yourself and join our instructor Bella in a confidence and self-love playlist with our I Love Myself Spin event. It'll be on March 26th from 7-8pm in the Locomotion room in the ARC. We will have mantras and motivational quotes for you to take after class. Glow n' Flow Yoga

Unlike a typical class, practicing in near darkness makes you more cognizant of your surroundings—your brain relies on heightened awareness from senses other than vision to process sensory information in order to stay balanced. If it feels like a fit, glow for it! Come join our instructor Brindley for a fun, fluorescence flow yoga class on March 27th from 6-7pm in HPER 102. Wear your brightest Yoga gear and we will provide glow bracelets and necklaces in class and glow paint for your face if you want to. The event is free with a group fitness pass, or $5 without. Top Rope Night at the Climbing Wall

Join us at the Climbing Wall at the Aggie Recreation Center for our Top Rope Nights every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. This free event is set to take place from 7 to 9 pm, offering a unique and exhilarating experience for climbers of all levels. Indulge in the excitement of scaling vertical walls, all while securely fastened to a top rope for a safe and enjoyable climbing session. Our skilled instructors will be on hand to provide guidance and encouragement, ensuring that both seasoned climbers and first-timers can make the most of the experience.
Beginner Backcountry Ski Tour

Come grab some backcountry turns with us! We will venture into the Bear River backcountry to seek out snow that you can't get to on a ski lift. Learn some of the basics of backcountry travel and safety. No backcountry experience is required but you must be comfortable riding double blue to black diamond resort terrain. Participants must be prepared for strenuous hiking. Backcountry touring skis or splitboard with skins are required and available to rent for an additional $10+tax for trip participants. NO SNOWSHOES. Trip cost includes transportation, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe and student leadership.

Intramural 4v4 Sand Volleyball Tournament

Get ready to spike, dive, and serve your way to victory at the upcoming intramural sand volleyball tournament scheduled for April 12th at 3pm and April 13th at 2pm. (2-day tournament) Registration opens on March 25th and closes April 8th. Teams are co-ed and it will be 4v4, max number of players is 6 for your bench. Aggie Recreation Triathlon

Join us for our Campus Rec Triathlon on April 13! The race will be a 55 yards swim (11 laps), 12mi cycle on a spin bike, and then a 5k run. There will be 4 wave times at 8:30am, 9:15am, 10am, and 10:45am. All registrants get a shirt and race bib. There will be postrace food as well as various food and water stations throughout the race. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers. We will also be doing a giveaway for who has the best Aggie Spirit! Come out showing your Aggie Spirit by dressing in all the USU attire, paint your hair/body, or whatever ideas you come up with! The winner will be voted on during the award ceremony by all participants. We will have raffle items after the award ceremony, so make sure to stick around to see if your bib number is called. Swift Water Rescue REC-1

This course is primarily designed for those wishing to gain experience around moving water. This course is framed around participant desires for training and taking beginner and novice students through the process of risk management and decision making in a swift water setting. Although this course does meet the SSI standards for certification, because of the format students will only be able to achieve a 2 year certification and all recreation based students will receive a Verification of Training for the Recreational Boater with no expiration. Guides and other water professionals need to push themselves towards the PRO-I and achieve up to a 3 year certification, but can option into this course in order to receive training if nothing else is available. This may also be used as a recert module for those that cannot get into a PRO-I or a PRO-II (Cert/Recert length does not exceed 2 yrs in this class). This class is tempered for recreational enthusiasts with varied experience levels. We can discuss several different topics of importance to private boaters, and all knowledge gained in this class is positive.

This is a professional level swift water rescue course designed for those requiring certification as a term of employment in a professional capacity; this course teaches rescue techniques with regard to limited resources in a variety of river settings. This 2 day, 18 hr course (with online training) meets the needs of professional river guides as well as USFS, NPS, Search and Rescue teams, Field Biologists, and BLM employees. Additionally, this course is open to recreational river users wishing to train on the PRO track and have access to the PRO-II course not accessible through the REC track. Course focus is on personal safety, decision making, risk management, and complex problem solving with other team members having limited rescue resources and communication with outside parties. This course is designed to meet varying student skill levels, and everyone from professional guides to seasonal contractors will benefit from the rescue techniques and concepts covered in this course. Self rescue and hazard avoidance and recognition are key components in this swiftwater course. This course is instructed by Swiftwater Safety Institute (SSI) in partnership with USU Outdoor Programs.

Logan Canyon Rock Climbing

Come spend a few hours rock climbing up in Logan Canyon. We will meet at the OP and drive up the canyon to experience some of the many climbs right in our campus backyard. This is a great opportunity to learn some of the routes in Logan Canyon or try climbing for the first time. No experience is necessary, beginners are welcome.
