Sunday, April 29 | 7 - 10 am $20 per person | $10 for members The first of four birding tours on the Swaner Preserve in 2018! Legendary Utah birder, Kenny Frisch, will guide us on an early morning excursion to view and identify resident and migratory feathered friends on the Preserve. Please be sure to wear hiking shoes or boots that can get wet, and be prepared for uneven soggy ground. We will provide binoculars for each attendee, or bring your own if you have a pair you prefer. Registration is required to attend and spots fill fast!

Saturdays and Sundays 1 - 3 pm | $5 or free for members Climb through the EcoSystem from the bedrock all the way to the uplands. Our indoor climbing wall is fun for all ages. We supply the harness and ask that you come with shoes having covered toes.

Museum + Music Sounding the Canvas: Beyond the New York School

This concert explores the ongoing impact of this incredibly rich moment in musical and artistic history of New York in the 1950s and 60s, presenting works by students of New York School members and artists who aesthetically influenced by the same. This will include musical works from contemporary composers who studied with Morton Feldman, including Linda Catlin Smith, Bernadette Speach, Barbara Monk Feldman, and Annea Lockwood. Their music will be juxtaposed with artworks from the NEHMA collection.

USU's Men's Acapella - "The Octaves" - End of Year Concert

Come and enjoy a good mix of upbeat pop songs, moving ballads, humorous Irish songs, and everything in between. USU's Men's Acapella Group is made up of 8 meticulously selected performers who bring a life and brilliance to the stage that is fun to be a part of. Admission will be any donation of $1 or more, which will go to Operation Underground Railroad, an international rescue effort coordinated in part by Tim Ballard that is aimed to stop the child slave trade and child sex trafficking happening in different areas throughout the world.

Did you know there are fireflies in Utah? Learn about the biology and ecology of these fascinating biolumenescent beetles from Christy Bills, Entomologist at the Natural History Museum of Utah. Christy will be presenting her research on these amazing creatures and providing all the information you need to participate in a local citizen-science project to contribute to their conservation.
