Jon M. Huntsman School of Business

About This Certificate

The Utah State University (USU) Anthropology program offers multiple pathways of post-graduate instruction in archaeology.

Our post-graduate degrees cater to students with diverse circumstances and career goals. Our seven degree programs motivate students to gain the skills necessary for advancement in cultural resource management (CRM), museum administration, and/or academic research. Our degree programs are also modular, allowing students to tailor their educational experience closely to their needs and goals.

The Cultural Resource Management and Administration Certificate prepares students to manage large budgets, personnel, and the ethical and legal complexities of modern CRM projects. The certificate is designed so that practicing professionals can take classes while currently on the job without necessarily relocating to USU campus. The certificate helps students build practical skills that they can apply in their current and future positions.

What You Will Learn

The graduate certificate in Cultural Resource Management (CRM) Policy and Administration is a hybrid-delivery certificate designed to prepare both fully matriculated graduate students as well as current professionals in the field wishing to enhance their portfolios to understand and implement CRM policy and administration skills within the context of cultural resource management activities.

This 18 credit hour certificate will focus on three core sets of skills. (1) Writing effective proposals and business plans, (2) Managing budgets and personnel within legal and ethical frameworks, and (3) growing market share. This certificate may be earned as a stand-alone certification or as part of the master’s or Phd degrees offered by the USU Anthropology Graduate Program.
