About This Minor

The Nonformal and Community-Based Education minor at Utah State University prepares students to work in nonformal education and community-based careers. Students will develop skills in active learning instructional techniques, volunteer management, event design, curriculum evaluation, and team building.

What You Will Learn

Students will learn nonformal teaching methods, community programming and evaluation, volunteer programs and partnerships, educational and multicultural foundations, and have the option to choose from a range of supportive electives.
