USU Research Landscapes — Water optimization on Utah's farms

Panel Discussion/Presentation

As Utah and other Western states face continued drought conditions, agricultural irrigation practices are being increasingly targeted. Irrigation accounts for upwards of 70% of Utah's water use, but those farms provide approximately 80,000 jobs and contribute 15 percent of the state's GDP. At the next USU Research Landscapes, Dr. Matt Yost will discuss the latest irrigation research and share techniques to optimize water use while supporting, instead of scrutinizing, Utah's food producers.
