6th Annual Paper & Clay

Paper & Clay is a national juried exhibition open to all BFA & MFA printmaking and ceramic students across the country. This year’s exhibition showcases 54 exceptional contemporary student works from 20 various academic institutions. This year’s juror is printmaking artist and University of Minneapolis professor Jenny Schmid.

The reception for the exhibit is on Thursday, Feb 16, from 5 – 7 PM.

Body acceptance is a way to build a healthier relationship with your body. In this workshop, we will explore what body image distress and body acceptance is and tools to help you move towards a place of body acceptance.

The Illusionists documentary is an award-winning documentary about the globalization of beauty and the dark side of advertising and its impact on body image. On Thursday, February 23, the USU Janet Quinney Lawson Institute for Land, Water, and Air is pleased to feature Darren Parry, the former chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, at a speaking event starting at 6:00 p.m in the David B. Haight Center. During the presentation, Parry will discuss our changing world and natural resources from an indigenous viewpoint. The event is free and open to everyone to attend.

Késhjéé Navajo Shoe Game

Student Activities

Come learn and play! We'll have a guest speaker to tell us stories before we play. What is Késhjéé? Shoe game is played in the winter time and people connect by singing songs about how the animals discussed how natural order of things change such as the cycles of day and night. Traditional foods will be served. All USU students, faculty and staff are invited to come participate or observe.
