Workshop/Training
Learn how to plan, begin, and successfully teach a class over Zoom. This workshop focuses less on Zoom functionality and more on teaching strategies for keeping students engaged and minimizing distractions when teaching in real-time, remotely.

CIDI Workshop - Digital Badging Using Canvas Credentials (previously Badgr)
Workshop/Training
Digital badges are sometimes called microcredentials. They can be awarded to students for various accomplishments and then shared by students on social media and elsewhere as an indicator of their accomplishment or competence. Canvas has an integrated digital badging tool called Canvas Credentials (previously called Badgr). This workshop addresses how to create, award, and track digital badges.

CIDI Workshop - Exam Security in Canvas Without Proctorio
Workshop/Training
If you want to run a secure exam without using Proctorio, your options are to use a testing center or design your exam in a way that removes the benefits of trying to cheat. This can take some extra work and creativity, but often results in better exams overall. We'll discuss question design, timing, question banks, and the way the USU testing center network works.
CIDI Workshop - New Quizzes in Canvas
Workshop/Training
Learn how to leverage New Quizzes in Canvas to create a more dynamic assessment experience. This workshop will include New Quizzes creation, question types, settings, moderating, and editing. Changes to the workshop curriculum can be made based on instructor experience.

CIDI Workshop - Managing and Editing Lecture Recordings

With all the recordings you have probably been creating lately, your MyMedia account may be in need of some attention. This workshop will take you through the first steps to becoming a media master: learn how to tag and add descriptions to your recordings to make them more easily searchable, discover the power of playlists, and become familiar with the basic editing tools that are available through MyMedia.

Canvas allows a teacher to create a "blueprint" course, where updates can be made just once and then synced to several associated courses. This can greatly ease the management of multiple versions of the same class. This workshop shows how to use and effectively manage blueprint courses.
