Mindful Movement | Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow-paced, passive type of yoga that incorporates long holds and stretching designed for deep contemplation and mind-body awareness. Yin yoga promotes sensory awakening that melts away tension and stress, and is known to release repressed or stored emotions. A tried and true technique to experience fascia and connective tissue release, Yin yoga is also an excellent practice for beginners because it offers plenty of time to uncover the unique benefits of individual poses without worrying about tricky transitions.
Practicing self care through mindfulness and meditation can help you relax and focus on what is most important - your overall wellness. This class is the first in an ongoing, online wellness series hosted by the Utah State University Office of Health Equity and Community Engagement.

Flexible, lightweight, strong, biocompatible, and water-resistant. A material with all of these properties can mean life-changing medical devices, protective equipment, and even building materials. But who came up with this super product? Spiders!
Can you imagine trying to farm spiders, which eat each other and yield relatively small quantities of silk? This is where spider silk expert, Justin Jones, comes in. Join us for a live Q&A with this USU researcher and professor to learn about how his lab is creating synthetic spider silk through the use of transgenic goats, bacteria, alfalfa, and even silkworms!
Dr. Justin A. Jones is an assistant professor in the Department of Biology at Utah State University. Dr. Jones received his Ph.D. degree in biology from Utah State University in 2015. He has worked with spider silk and its recombinant forms since 1998 while attending the University of Wyoming.

Jammin' at Blue Square 2021!
Join the restaurants at Blue Square on our patio all summer long; we will be hosting live bands every Friday night and serving dinner in the fresh outdoors!
The entertainment is free (please just tip them well!) and you just need to be the audience! We have bands booked every Friday evening through September and are exited to feed and amaze you with the talent that is from Utah! No cover fees, all you need to bring is a smile.

Did you know that there are wines produced right here in Utah? Swaner Preserve and the Utah Wine Festival have teamed up to bring a sampling of Utah wines to Park City!
Join us to sample wines from 6 Utah wineries. Tickets include wine samples, individual hors d'oeuvre boxes, a souvenir wine glass, and the opportunity to learn about the climate considerations and environmental benefits of choosing local Utah wines.
Wineries include La Caille Winery, I/G Winery, Chanela Winery, Bold and Delaney Winery, Zion Vineyards, and Water Canyon Winery.
Registration required, you must be 21 or older to attend.
