About This Minor

The Soil Science minor at Utah State University's College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, Department of Plants, Soils and Climate, is designed for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of soil science and its applications in agriculture and environmental management.

What You Will Learn

Students in the Soil Science minor will study the fundamentals of soil science, urban soil management and reclamation, irrigated soils, environmental soil chemistry, soil genesis and classification, soil microbiology, wildland soils, soil health and fertility, analytical techniques for the soil environment, environmental soil physics, and environmental quality in soil and water.
